Message from the Dean

SoB of GDUFS was the 26^th in China, the 225^th in the world to be accredited by AMBA, and the 3^rd in China to be accredited by EPAS. Business Administration is rated in the top 21% in China according to the Shanghai Ranking of Chinese Universities Subjects. In accordance with the motto of GDUFS, “Pursuit of Integrity, Practice and Cross-Cultural Learning”, SoB upholds the school-running orientation of “maintaining a global vision and insisting on the Chinese philosophy of business”, aims to cultivate international business talents of high quality, practices the SMILE values composed of “social responsibility, mutual respect, integrity, learning by doing, entrepreneurship”, and is striving for characteristics of internationalization and digitalization. Focusing on internationalization at home, SoB not only keeps abreast of global academic frontiers, but also refines Chinese theories through research on domestic business scenarios and disseminates them worldwide to build global influence. In addition, SoB also spares no effort to recruit international students and foreign teachers to create a cross-cultural interactive environment at the school. In this case, SoB will promote internationalization development in both talent cultivation and scientific research. Since digitalization is inevitable for social development, whether in teaching, scientific research, or social service, SoB should shape digital concepts, develop digital platforms, master digital technologies, and employ digital thinking to resolve business problems. Insisting on “quality and features” as the core, SoB spares no effort to propel the key “Five-sphere Construction Plan” which emphasizes “developing high-level discipline, constructing high-quality talent teams, cultivating internationally high-caliber personnel, carrying out high-quality scientific research and social undertakings, and fostering high-standard international exchange and cooperation”. Considering plans for the implementation and continual improvement of high-quality standards at home and abroad, SoB has developed many research directions of major disciplines and features of talent cultivation, such as “Digital Marketing and Brand Management, Digital Intelligence Decision-Making and Operation Management, Global Chain Extension and Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and International Human Resources and Cross-Cultural Management”. Graduates of SoB are highly recognized by all sectors of society, and the employment rates over the years all basically reach 100%. With the increasing social reputation of SoB, it is striding forward a vision of growing into “a top-tier internationalized business school with distinctive features and excellent quality”.
